2023-24 Corporate Sponsorship Proposal

One Team. One Little League.

Little League® Baseball and Softball is played in approximately 6,500 communities across more than 80 countries around the world, but regardless of where they are played, each of them share the same core mission. Little League believes in the power of youth baseball and softball to teach life lessons that build stronger individuals and communities. The Westbrook Little League is an entirely volunteer run organization, including our Board Members. Joined together by one common goal, every local league is part of One Team. One Little League.

Little League Five-Year Strategic Plan

Little League’s five-year strategic plan will launch new programs, including alternative and sandlot-style games, new grant initiatives to help leagues and families suffering from financial hardship, a renewed focus on training and development of coaches of the youngest divisions of play, partnerships that offer new introductions to the sports of baseball and softball, and more.

Core Strategy: Utilize Little League’s legacy and distinction to create a player-centered culture and remove core barriers to participation.

Overarching Tactics of the Strategic Plan:

Employ a player-focused philosophy in all aspects of the Little League program, including strategic planning, decision-making, resource allocation, and customer service tactics
Evaluate and modify Little League rules, regulations, and policies to meet a philosophy focused on a successful player experience
Collaborate with District Administrators and volunteers to evaluate local league boundaries in an effort to provide more children the opportunity to play Little League
Utilize game modifications and alternative programming to stimulate more interest in the game
Utilize a league acquisition strategy that creates opportunities for turnkey affiliation and launch a new affiliation model focused on attracting the youngest players
Continue to develop international affiliation model that allows for growth in expansion markets and strengthens relationships in existing stakeholder markets
Create an attainable model to prepare all coaches, with focus on engagement in the youngest divisions of the program
Remove barriers to participation, including financial and family circumstances, that impact access for families to participate
Create unique and distinct opportunities to promote the inclusion of female participants and volunteers in the Little League program
Utilize new and improved techniques to service our constituents and provide excellent service to volunteers and parents
Continue to use and emphasize technology to support the needs of local leagues and the implementation of the program at the local level
Leverage the relationships with strategic partners of the Little League program to drive strategic plan imperatives including content, training, and endorsement of programming
Build excitement for the expansion of the Little League Baseball and Little League Softball World Series
Launch the “new and improved” Little League brand, mission and messaging

Cover Letter -Westbrook Little League Sponsorship and Donor Program

To Our Valued Sponsors & Beloved Community, snow may be upon us, but baseball and softball season is just around the corner! Westbrook Little League would like to ask for your support to become an integral part of our great program.

Westbrook Little League, a non-profit organization, has proudly provided coaching and guidance to Westbrook boys and girls for over 50 years. We provide baseball and softball leagues, as well as tournament and instructional opportunities for over 500 kids (age 4-16) each year. Along with our volunteers, sponsors and donors are a crucial part of our team.

Registration fees are kept as low as possible and only cover a portion of our costs. The remaining costs are covered by donations from our wonderful sponsors and donors. Your generous sponsorship dollars provide an opportunity for children to learn the game of baseball/softball, understand the value of teamwork, and establish childhood memories that will last a lifetime.

Our Little League complex resides on leased land, unlike many surrounding towns that own its fields and are responsible for maintaining them. 100% of the funds raised, with your help, pays for field rental & maintenance, uniforms, baseballs and other equipment, umpires, tournaments, scholarships for those in need, and a safe environment for the children to play!
